I, Daniel Miron, aka Daniel GreenWolf, officially resign from the Silver Phoenix Society. This decision was not made easily. I joined the board for three reasons:
-To make sure SPS would not work with JME in any way. I confirm this is the case in the time I was on the board. And, based on everything I have seen SPS go through, I am confident that is the last thing they would want to do.
-To make certain that they would not screw over performers. The one performing group they worked with during their short stint of recruiting performers, they are bending over backwards to accommodate them.
-To make them more transparent and, honestly, they have done so. And they're only pushing that further. Have they made mistakes? Absolutely. Will they keep doing so? Of course! That's what running events are all about. I've been doing it for over a decade and I'm still constantly making mistakes.
My only suggestion to the people hounding these few folks- give them a break. They have answered more questions, faced more rudeness, and faced more real threats than any people should ever be required to do so, and certainly more than any of us could manage to face publicly. Give them a break. They are good people. And they're trying to create something, which is so much harder than trying to destroy something.
-Respectfully submitted, D.G.
