Resignation of Daniel (Miron) GreenWolf
44 MINUTES AGO · PUBLIC
I, Daniel Miron, aka Daniel GreenWolf, officially resign from the Silver Phoenix Society. This decision was not made easily. I joined the board for three reasons:
-To make sure SPS would not work with JME in any way. I confirm this is the case in the time I was on the board. And, based on everything I have seen SPS go through, I am confident that is the last thing they would want to do.
-To make certain that they would not screw over performers. The one performing group they worked with during their short stint of recruiting performers, they are bending over backwards to accommodate them.
-To make them more transparent and, honestly, they have done so. And they're only pushing that further. Have they made mistakes? Absolutely. Will they keep doing so? Of course! That's what running events are all about. I've been doing it for over a decade and I'm still constantly making mistakes.
My only suggestion to the people hounding these few folks- give them a break. They have answered more questions, faced more rudeness, and faced more real threats than any people should ever be required to do so, and certainly more than any of us could manage to face publicly. Give them a break. They are good people. And they're trying to create something, which is so much harder than trying to destroy something.
-Respectfully submitted, D.G.

So, just to get a head count of who is exactly left?
I'm posting this so it's not just a sub comment, thank you Alia for reminding me I left out of this post the "Why":

I realized I didn't add that in the official resignation and i'm sorry about that. The SPS folks knew why so I forgot to add it to this.

I resigned because, with the number of people remaining in SPS, more people on the board will have to step up and take a physical responsibility to run events. I felt that, being on the board and being unable to do anything of the like because I'm the General Manager of my own Renaissance Faire, along with my actual career as a Professional Touring Magician, makes me dead weight, for lack of a better term. This was always known from the beginning that I would never be actively running events.

I do believe in what these folks are doing and, after spending this time inside and seeing the nuts and bolts of what they've gone through and what they're trying to do, I don't see where I'm going to do much more outside of being an advisor, which every member of SPS knows I shall freely offer if they should ever ask (Which they have, and I'm fine with that).
