Just giving everyone a quick update!
The paperwork is in process for the new company, which we have named Silver Phoenix Society. It will be a non-profit organization dedicated to running various events for the geek and Steampunk communities and will be run via committee rather than the say-so of a single person.
Legal talks are still in process in our quest to aquire the intellectual property and assets of the non-kink events belonging to Widdershins, Inc. and JM. We know this is taking much longer than any of us hoped, but these are indeed legal proceedings and those tend to take time.
Again, just to reiterate, JM will have no part in the new company nor profit in any way from any of the events. He is banned from the events even now, will continue to be going forward, and has already been notified as such.
We'll be posting updates as they come available!
Side note: I would like to point out that I am blocked from commenting on any post on the JME FB page. I can't say I'm surprised by this at all, but I see this as further Jeff-style management.
UPDATE: it appears that comments are being deleted for "harassment."
